About the Site Location

Hoxne, Suffolk

After the end of the Second World War, an airfield in the vicinity of Hoxne began clearing the base. One of sites chosen to dispose of the waste was a pond in the parish of Hoxne. In November 2016, Operation WALBEA’s project team excavated two small test pits into this feature.
